A dip in a swimming pool or a relaxing bathe in the crystalline sea just a “few strokes” away from the Grotta Azzurra; or maybe a swim in the bay opposite the “faro” at Punta Carena where the sun is a constant companion until the very last rays of sunset. Perhaps a typical dinner of local specialities in a restaurant on the edge of the sea or up at the belvedere of the Migliera, or for sports lovers a game of tennis, a stint in the gym or a chance to try one of the many water sports available on the island. A walk around the little workshops and boutiques in search of the perfect handmade item, be it a leather sandal, a piece of pottery, a sweater or an article of clothing made according to age-old standards of quality. And when feeling peckish why not “indulge” in one of the island’s many sweet specialities which make liberal use of the fragrant and abundant local lemons. The night offers entertainment for all, with the young and riotous atmosphere of the discotheques or the languid music of the piano-bars and tavernas, or film buffs may choose an outing to see the latest film on offer.
